Application:

The BO-21 VD illuminator for equipment with lightguides is used as a light source for endoscopic, ophthalmologic, stomatological and other medical devices and tools with fiber lightguides as well as a cold light source for technical introscopes and illumination and diagnostic devices.

Due to application of a metal-halide high-pressure lamp with a color temperature of 6200° K, the illuminator ensures color rendering quality comparable with natural solar illumination, high illumination intensity of the object at smaller power consumption, and life time of up to 700 h.

The continuous adjustment of light flux ensures prompt choice of comfortable illumination conditions. The microprocessor control, light and audible indications of operation modes and lamp life will make it possible to take timely measures for reliable support of the procedure process.

Two modifications of the illuminator are produced: the first uses only mains supply (AC, 220 V) and the second may use two power sources namely the mentioned above and the build-in rechargeable batteries ensuring up to 1 hour of operation without recharge. In this case endoscopic equipment automatically changes the power supply provided the cutout of a wire network takes place. This modification is convenient for operation under the absence of the stationary electrical network such as field conditions, air medical service, mobile hospitals, etc.). The batteries are charged automatically when the illuminator is connected to mains supply. Extraction of the batteries from the device is not necessary.
